The NV5600 is a very robust transmission in a 6 speed truck. As in most things, there is a weak link, and that would be the clutch in this case. Our friends over at SouthBend have tackled this issue, and have built a series of clutch kits that will fit any application- beginning with stock horsepower and all the way up to 550hp.
